If you travel southbound on A1A, this building looks like a cruise ship is traveling in the opposite direction.

I added it...I last went there in 1985, and I totally forgot where it was in Ft. Lauderdale until you found it (with a little map inset proving its location).

thanks to whomever added the Ocean World poster. I thought I may be the only person left in South Florida who remembers the place.

Bahia Cabana Resort and Restaurant is actually located a few buildings east of the one it is marked as. It is in the South-East corner of Bahia Mar Marina. Check out their website: http://www.bahiacabanaresort.com/map_directions.htm

  • former Fuddruckers, formulanone wrote 18 years ago:
I think all the Fuddruckers have left South Florida; I've heard it's still active in other areas of the country. Cheeburger Cheeburger is a good alternative; but I do miss the self-serve toppings (a meal in itself) and drink refills. I think this was the last location in the area; I was last there in 2004.

An amazing experience is to go to Lester's between 0130 and 0300 and order a coffee and just watch people. The club kick-outs, the pole dancers recently off shift, the insomniacs... all sorts. A facinating experience in a facinating diner.
